HP Omen 27i Review In 2022 [Updated]

A fantastic gaming monitor is the HP OMEN 27i. A responsive gaming experience is provided by its excellent response time, low input lag, and clear motion while gaming.

The Omen 27i’s 165 Hz refresh rate and G-Sync Compatibility were immediately recognized by Windows. In the Nvidia Control panel, no adjustments were required. Additionally, FreeSync started working right away when we connected the monitor to our AMD-based gaming computer.

The Omen 27i made watching movies a pleasure as well. Since the color gamut is too wide, some Blu-ray movies might appear a little overexposed. Rec.709 color space is intended for the majority of streamed content as well. But this was only a minor problem.

The Omen 27i excels at gaming. Tomb Raider came across with rich and vibrant hues as we played in an outdoor beach environment. The video processing, regardless of the game, is among the best we’ve seen. Our PCs with AMD and Nvidia graphics cards both maintained frame rates of 140 to 160 fps. Frame tearing was completely absent, and input lag was also nonexistent. Despite the apparent insignificance, measured differences of a few milliseconds do matter. Compared to many other gaming monitors, the Omen 27i allowed us to play for longer periods of time in greater comfort. ASUS TUF VG27AQ

They are almost identically constructed, but the 27c has a curved screen and the 27i has a flat one.

Both the Dell S2721DGF and the HP OMEN 27i have many features in common. Both of the monitors are 27-inch IPS displays with a 1440p resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. Since the Dell responds more quickly, it can produce clearer motion with a shorter blur trail behind moving objects. Due to its ability to swivel, rotate to portrait mode, and support for HDR, it also has noticeably better ergonomics.
